Aseptic Filler
Aseptic packaging allows a sterile product to be produced which has a long shelf life with excellent microbiological quality and which can be distributed at room
temperature. This reduces the cost of thermal treatment, transport and storage.
This method uses sterile packaging systems.
Although there are several aseptic package formats on the market, the most frequently used are the aseptic bags of 5, 10, 20 and 200 kg although these weights can
change depending on the product density.
HRS Spiratube has designed an ASEPTIC FILLER type ‘Bag-in-Drum’ and ‘Bag-in-Box’ which allows products to be filled aseptically.
It has a double filling head, with filling nozzles of 1 and 2 inches, depending on the product. It uses pre-formed and pre-sterilised bags of 5 up to 1,000 litre
capacity, with a cap size of 1 and 2 inches.
In the process, a thermal sterilisation of the product is carried out with a separate sterilisation of the package. Sterility during the packaging process is maintained
using steam. The introduction of cold or room temperature product into the container is achieved without any contamination and the filled package is locked shut.
The convenience food sector particularly demands this technology:
- Catering: this emerging market, which owes its growth to the modern habit
of eating away from home (company restaurants, administrative centres, hospitals, schools) demands vegetables such as leaf spinach, peas, pepper slices, onion dices,
etc. as well as other base ingredients and convenience food.
- The dairy and confectionery/bakery sectors demand whole
fruits and fruit dices, bases and purees.
- The convenience food sector especially demands tomato dices and tomato
concentrate type hot and cold break.
