Company background
HRS Corporate PowerPoint presentation
Providing the technology for heat transfer solutions.
Since 1981, HRS has designed, manufactured and sold heat exchangers, process systems, aseptic fillers and piston pumps to improve the performance of systems and the quality of processes in the different sectors.
With this group of companies specialized in Heat Transfer Technology, HRS has become the fastest growing heat exchanger company in the world.
With a significant presence in the 5 continents, we market and sell our products by agents/distributors, subsidiaries, OEM companies and direct sales.
Products' brochures
Tubulars Brochure
Turbulence is the main factor in thermal transfer. HRS has designed different geometries to increase thermal efficiency in tubular heat exchangers by means of corrugation, both inner and outer tubes. This innovation has the following benefits:
? Reduces thermal treatment time in food applications.
? Reduces the product volume contained in the heat exchanger.
? Reduces fouling.
? Reduces the heat exchanger volume and weight.
Our aim is to improve the efficiency of current geometries.
Unicus® Brochure
Food: People do not eat at home, they do not have time to cook, and they want healthy individual portions of quality food.
Environment: High energy consumption, environmental regulations and sustainable development create a need for evaporation of effluents.
Globalization:It demands high performance productionin the industrialised countries.
Piston Pump Brochure
Real cases
“I am changing the stators of my positive displacement pump every 15 days” “The lobular pump does not allow me to work with particulates” “As a part of my quality program, I have to use X ray detection to avoid contamination of my product by rubbers” “I suffer the consequences of daily cutting damage; I have to reformulate the products to reach consistency that the market demands.” “I would like to have a pumping system to be able to carry out the expectations of the Product Development Department”. “I want to transfer aseptic products with aseptic pumps without breaking particles.” “I would like to have a sterilisable pump”. “I would rather not have rubber detection systems”. “I cannot adjust my pump flowrate within the limits that I want, because the frequency variator does not allow it.” “I want a pneumatic pump of high pressure to feed my filter press”. “A membrane breakage involves a high cost in product loss”. “Abrasive products reduce my running times due to maintenance”.
Products' and applications' leaflets
Tubulars Leaflet
At HRS, we have increased the effectiveness of our tubular heat exchangers. With the new corrugation formats, and the scraped surface, we obtain higher turbulence and heat transfer levels, and we avoid the fouling of heat exchanger.
We are launching 4 models of tubular heat exchangers, designed for Food Industry and other industrial applications:
? DTI (Industrial Double Tube Heat Exchanger).
? DTA (Food Double Tube Heat Exchanger).
? K Series (Industrial Multitube Heat Exchanger).
? MI (Food Multitube Heat Exchanger).
Unicus® Leaflet
The Unicus® is a dynamic heat exchanger with a unique scraped surface action which optimises the heat exchange area by increasing the heat transfer coefficient by the combined action of:
a) A reduction in fouling.
b) An increase in turbulence due to the continuous reciprocating movement of the scraping elements.
Piston Pump Leaflet
The piston pump is a hydraulically operated positive displacement pump that transfers mechanical energy as pressure energy. The principle of operation is based on the movement of a double effect piston which is powered by a hydraulic cylinder which provides the necessary power to move the piston.
An open separator chamber seals off the product chamber from the oil system thus preventing any contact between the hydraulic oil and the product. The hydraulic cylinder is connected to a separate hydraulic power unit which gives the advantage that the pump can be located anywhere in the installation with the hydraulic power unit located remotely.
Aseptic and prepared fruit and vegetables
Aseptic packaging technology has been developed in order to meet market demand for more natural products. Up to now, most companies that process fruit and vegetables use cans, aseptic drums or IQF to package them, but large food companies want products aseptically packaged.
HRS developed their first aseptic system for particulate products 12 years ago. Today we have beaten the IQF, the can and the aseptic drum with more than 50 successful installations.
Catering and prepared foods
How do we cook at home?
"We add water until the food is well covered, stir with a wooden spoon and cook over low heat for approximately 45 minutes."
Modern society has no time for cooking. There is no time for cooking with saucepans, pressure cookers or frying pans. New life styles have created new eating habits and a greater consumption of prepared foods.
Today many people eat out, there is more gastronomic interest and greater demands from the kitchen. From the nutritional point of view we are living through a big revolution. Combined with this, people do not want to lose the taste of traditional home cooking. In order to meet these demands, HRS is trying to overcome the difficulties of industrial scale cooking, to improve it in order to come closer to what we have been cooking for decades in our kitchens at home.
Environmental use of evaporators
The increased generation of waste products is an inevitable consequence of economic growth and the diversification of industrial processes. Society demands urgent solutions to these environmental problems.
Current technology offers diverse solutions depending on the nature of the problem.
Biological and chemical treatment processes are not effective where solids are soluble.
Membrane technology also does not provide a good solution. HRS can offer a unique system to achieve separation of solids and liquids in residual waste treatment.
