Thermal calculation utilities
HRS Spiratube has a department of investigation and development that has created
the tools of scientific calculation to make the thermal and mechanical design. Also
we used software of simulation by finite elements to verify our designs before the
prototyping.
In order to verify the results of our applications we used all type of sources that
can be found in literature. Our applications are an example of the state of the
art technology about the implementation of new methods of calculation and we tried
to always contemplate present and trustworthy methods.
One of first and more widely spread sources used by the engineers from always is
the classic book of D. Q. Kern “Process Heat Transfer”. The calculation methods
that appear there have been surpassed by those of present literature but despite
we have solved some simple problems that consider there and we have used them like
one of so many methods of verification of results.
In addition we think that these exercises can be from interest for engineers who
need to solve simple problems of heat interchange, reason why we have made them
available of all you.
